Earthwise and Homeboy Industries Working Together
Earthwise Bag Company has partnered with LA based Homeboy Industries to help create green jobs in Southern California. Homeboy Industries is a non-profit organization that provides vital job training, jobs and wrap-around services to help youth move beyond the gang life. Homeboy’s backbone and largest business is Homeboy Silkscreen & Embroidery – a division that prints casual clothing, sports apparel and now Earthwise bags. We kicked off our partnership with two events attended by celebrities and Homeboy employees who teamed up to bag groceries in locally silkscreened Earthwise bags. Together with Food 4 Less and Von’s we were able to distribute thousands of reusable bags to the community free of charge and raise thousands of dollars for Homeboy Industries. Earthwise looks forward to future events that will raise badly needed funds for Homeboy, create local jobs, and increase awareness for environmental causes.
